The journey from Alor Setar (Dato’ Seri Azizan, Kedah’s Chief Minister just announced we’re back to use ‘Setar’ instead of ‘Star’) kicked off at about 1230 on the previous 29th of January to have a friendly match in the Navy base in Lumut, Perak. We arrived approximately at about 1700. Unfortunately we took the ‘long way’ to get there, of which, we exited in Ipoh’s tol instead of Changkat Jering’s to get to Lumut.

Kedah VS TLDM

When we arrived at the guard house at the base, we idled for another 15-20 minutes for clearance. It was indeed tiring for the boys to hop out from the bus and continue straight with the match. Nevertheless Kedah managed to secure the game to victory at 4-0 despite there was only 5 minutes of warming up.

The goals were contributed by Fadly Baharum, Baddrol Bakhtiar, Shafiq Jamal and Farizal Rozali. Enjoy the pictures. I believe this is the entry with the largest collection of pictures to date :-)

Dick Hoyt is a father to Rick Hoyt. Dick has never turned the request from Rick to go competing in the Ironman. Now, for those who don’t know what Ironman is, it’s the toughest triathlon format there is on the planet. Prior to racing, each athlete received three sheets of paper listing a few rules and a course description. Handwritten on the last page was this exhortation: “Swim 2.4 miles! Bike 112 miles! Run 26.2 miles! Brag for the rest of your life“. That should give you an idea what Ironman is.

Now, to put Dick, Rick and all that into perspective, you gotta see this video I digged from youtube.

So, Kedah lost again at an away game with Perlis at Stadium Utama Kangar, Perlis. Perlis did that only score (Perlis won 1-0) through a penalty kick. However, according to the coaches, Kedah is indeed going through a lot of improvements comparatively to the previous matches they had.

Well, it should be an interesting phase of development on the next matches around. It is sports, some would win, and some would lose. Kedah fans that came that night have portrayed first-class spirit nonetheless. To all Kedah fans, you should be proud of yourselves.

Well, enjoy the photos :-)

I was called up by Ally from Ally & James (it’s actually a stylist saloon of sorts) soon after performing my Friday prayer. I supposed to be shooting at the Stadium in preparing a presentation to the AFC, but I managed to move the session later. Anyhow, Ally persuaded me to have 2 session with these lovely ladies, Miki and Suki.

  Miki and Suki

I didn’t managed to grab much detail from Ally what’s the shoot for really, only some $$$ transacting through my eyes (Hahahaha :P ). Anyway, both of these lovely ladies are indeed lovely. They’ve never been dry of ideas to keep posing and expressing. Perhaps I’ll put up sessions with them again in the future :-)

Well .. enjoy the .. err … photos?

It was drizzling hard and Kedah fans were perhaps in such drizzling mode at the stadium, hence the lost at 1-4 to Selangor. I received an SMS from a friend in Selangor, that goes as the following …

I’m waiting to see what u write in jeebsion tomorrow.. Hahahaha..

That SMS was sent to me in response to my previous entry about Helmi Eliza’s fumble at AFF Suzuki. While my mind is tangling at the moment of scribing this, I cannot help to think about how unlucky he was at tonight’s match. He would be at the lowest morale at the moment. While many gave their thoughts about Helmi needing to take sometime off, he has got to start bucking up, and  start bucking up fast.

Kedah VS Selangor - Piala Sumbangsih

In sports, people preach about sportsmanship, class or grace following defeat. We need to learn crediting the opponent instead of sulking, ignoring eye contact, finger pointing or even invent clever excuses. The way we handle defeat often influences our performance and overall well being even more than court savvy and smarts.

It’s a different shade of spectrums from ‘learning from our mistake’ but more in the milieu of ‘listening to our mistakes’. Until we could do that, then only we can rise again to claim our victory. Well, 2 thumbs up to Selangor in illustrating an exigent match tonight. Indeed, Selangor deserves the cup after all those hard works. I’m very sure that Azraai Khor, Radhi and Ahmad Sobri will start tuning into refining the team before the next match with Negeri Sembilan. InsyaAllah.
