A while ago I received a facebook chat message from Azraai Khor, the double treble chief coach about his official appointment as the chief coach of Harimau Muda, the Under-21 Malaysian football endeavor. Nonetheless, he accepted the appointment dated 16th October 2009. With that stated, his glorious career with Kedah Football Association (KFA) since 2004 has finally come to an end.

His duty shall be starting on November 1st 2009. I’m very sure that many would be missing his leadership in the state’s football scene. KFA on the other hand has yet to make any official appointment in filling up the blank seat.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish all the best to Azraai Khor in making the better football future in Malaysia. Worry not, we’ll keep in touch every now and then :-)

I know this is a late update. I’ve been busy with a number of tasks in my schedule pipeline. Nonetheless, I’ve updated :-) . For Kedah, it was indeed the last football match for the season of 2009. The match with Penang was played gracefully, yet determined. As the time juggles on that day, the boys fought well, and they shook the ground with 4 goals with none returned.

However, Kedah took so much of a time to warm up to such level. It was only the last 3 games in the Malaysia Cup season that the team took the shine. Pricey as it was, Kedah managed not to buy enough points in order to qualify to the quarters.

Enjoy the last of the season’s bits for Kedah :-)

I’ve got to admit the captain for last night’s match really shines for certain reason. Though Kedah only manage to secure the victory at 1-0 against Kelatan, a tough opponent at that, Azraai Khor’s boys played their heart out till the last of the minutes.

With Ahmad Fauzi Saari (aka Pak Long) leading the team at full force, Kelantan with its mastermind B. Sathiyanathan did not survive the battle. Hence, with the absence of Helmi Eliza, Victor Andrag, Khyril Muhymeen and Shahrul Nizam Mustapa, many forecasted the match would end up in a draw at most.

Afif however, has been elbowed at his mouth in one of the incidents. It was a 5-stitch-job for Abg Lan, the team physiotherapist.

At the previous match that I attended, Kedah lost to Penang at 0-1. However tonight in KL, Kedah managed to secure a victory at 3-0 with the ATM (Angkatan Tentara Malaysia) team. The goals being contributed by Shahrul Nizam Mustapa, Mohd Azrul Ahmad and Mohd Faizal Abu Bakar in non-respectively.

Thin as it may be to pass through the next round, the team cannot afford to lose concentration with the upcoming matches in keeping hope to at least participate in the next Piala Malaysia stage.

Let us pray for the best :-)
